Cranbrook RCMP have arrested and charged a man in connection with a firearm incident at a gas station in the 2100 block of Cranbrook Street North.
On March 6, 2026, officers responded after two individuals reported that an unknown man approached them at the gas station and waved what appeared to be a small revolver.
Police say the firearm was allegedly pointed in their direction before the man walked away.
Following the initial response, RCMP say officers reviewed CCTV footage from the area.
As a result, police say they were able to identify a suspect, who was later arrested without incident.
Stacey Dean Willard has since been charged with the following offences and remains in custody:
-
Pointing a firearm at another person
-
Breach of an undertaking
-
Breach of a release order
“Incidents involving firearms are treated with the utmost seriousness,” said Cpl. Brett Urano, an RCMP spokesperson.
“This arrest is a direct result of the dedication, professionalism and persistence shown by our officers. Their commitment to public safety and their thorough investigative work played a key role in bringing this matter to a safe conclusion.”
