The City of Cranbrook has now lifted all road load restrictions with spring weather fully underway.
Starting 8 a.m. today (May 6), all load restrictions have been rescinded.
Local streets, aside from main routes on 17 Street South to the area of Victor Road and Highway 95A, were limited to 50 to 70 percent legal axle loading on March 13.
The City said the change was meant to protect road pavements during the spring thaw, when melting frost weakens the ground beneath.
All streets with those restrictions in place are back to normal.
