The Kimberley Dynamiters host their only home games of November this weekend as they look to build on recent road wins.
The Kootenay Division leaders are coming off wins in Merritt and Revelstoke.
Head coach Derek Stuart told Pattison Media this week he is pleased with the team’s recent play.
“I really like how we’ve been playing recently, especially this past weekend, going into two very hard rinks to play in against two good teams and coming out with four points,” said Derek Stuart, Head Coach, Kimberley Dynamiters.
“I think our start was good, but I really like how we’ve been playing lately.”
The homestand also marks the team’s family weekend.
“It’s an opportunity to not only spend time with their kids that are here, but also to get to meet some of the other parents and sort of get immersed in the Dynamiter family,” adds Stuart.
Stuart said players will want to perform well in front of their families, but the focus remains on the team.
“We’re going to make sure we stress… let’s show them how good the team is, not each player,” he said.
“The focus here is to show them how good of a team we are.”

The Nitros host the Osoyoos Coyotes on Saturday (Nov. 7), who are third in the Valley Division.
Stuart said the Dynamiters are focused on their own game and what they can control.
“For us this time of the year, we kind of mainly only focus on our opponent’s power play,” he added.
“We’re more concerned with what we’re going to do.
“I think if we focus on our game, we’ll give ourselves a chance to have success.”
On Sunday (Nov. 8), Kimberley hosts the Princeton Posse in a rematch of last year’s final series.
“I feel like we know the majority of the things they like to do. But again, we, we don’t want to focus too much this time of year on our opponents,” Stuart said.
“I think Princeton is always, ever since 2023, Princeton’s always a big game for us. I’m sure the boys will be ready to go on Sunday.”
The Dynamiters will not play at home again until December 6.
