Council directed staff to notify neighbouring property owners of a proposed variance that would allow a new residential lot at 200 St. Mary Lake Road.
The property is intended to use an on-site wastewater (septic) system, subject to review and approval of the system design at the building permit stage.
It comprises approximately 1.9 hectares (4.5 acres) and forms the western most extent of the Kimberley Golf Course parcel.
A road dedication right-of-way separates the lands under consideration from the larger extent of the Kimberley Golf Course parcel.
The subject property is situated immediately east of similar sized parcels that were subdivided and developed upon within recent years. Each of the recent developments were granted variance permits to allow for on-site wastewater treatment (septic) systems.
The proposed lot would be connected to municipal water services, and feedback from neighbouring property owners will be considered before Council makes a final decision on the variance.
