The Cranbrook Bucks have announced Roshen Jaswal as the organization’s new Head Coach and Assistant General Manager.
Jaswal brings a strong reputation for leadership, player development, and energetic coaching.
“His ability to connect with players and create a competitive, structured environment made him a natural fit for the Bucks organization,” said the Cranbrook Bucks in a statement.
A Burnaby, B.C., native, Roshen Jaswal played three seasons of professional hockey before beginning his coaching career with the NE Chiefs in Vancouver.
“We’re excited to welcome Roshen to Cranbrook,” said Nathan Lieuwen, Owner and President, The Cranbrook Bucks.
“His alignment with the values of our team is very strong, which was our most important factor.
“I am confident he brings the right vision, a good work ethic, and a genuine passion for developing young men both on and off the ice.”
Last season, he served as an assistant coach with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos. During his playing career, Jaswal won three championships: two at the junior level and one professionally.
“I’m incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to become the Head Coach and Assistant General Manager of the Cranbrook Bucks,” said Roshen.
“First and foremost, I want to recognize the tremendous work Ryan Donald did in establishing this program and building a strong foundation here in Cranbrook.
“From my first conversations with Nathan, I felt a strong alignment in how we believe a program should be built through belief, relationships, development, culture, and a relentless pursuit of winning.
“I can’t wait to get to Cranbrook, connect with our players and community, and build on that foundation as we work toward our ultimate goal of bringing a championship to Cranbrook.”
Jaswal arrives as the Bucks prepare for the 2026-27 season. Fans can look forward to seeing his impact as the team begins building toward another strong campaign at Western Financial Place starting next week at our top 40 camp.
