Environment Canada has issued a yellow warning for poor air quality in East Kootenay and Elk Valley, including Kimberley and Cranbrook, following recent wildfires.
Smoke is causing or is expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility.
The following regions of BC that are being impacted or are likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours include East Kootenay and the Elk Valley.
During a wildfire, smoke conditions can change quickly over short distances and can vary considerably hour-by-hour.
