Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) set a new monthly record in June, transporting almost three million metric tonnes of Canadian grain and grain products.
In a statement Tuesday, the company said it moved 2.8 million metric tonnes last month surpassing the old mark estabished in June 2020.
CPKC said second quarter figures from April, May, and June proved to be record-setting for both weight and number of carloads, beating the old benchmark, also established in the Spring of 2020.
For the 2025-26 crop year, the railway added it shipped more than 28.4 tonnes in grain and grain products, eclipsing numbers not seen since the 2020-21 crop year.
Operations south of the border also set new monthly and quarterly tonnage standards for grain movements at 2.6 million and 7.5 million metric tonnes, respectively.
