The Cranbrook Youth Ambassador Showcase was held at Key City Theatre on June 19, during which the 2026 Youth Ambassador was crowned.
Kenzie Hert was named the 2026 Ambassador, while Mia Milne was named Vice Ambassador.
The Talent Award and Scholarship went to Alice Teetaert for her violin performance.
The 2026 candidates were officially introduced during the Youth Ambassador Banquet and Ball in April.
Organizers said the candidates had taken part in weekly learning sessions and volunteered at several events, including the Lions Club Seniors Light Up, Rotary Seniors Christmas Dinner, and Kinsmen Heritage Dinner.
The group was also the top overall fundraising team for the 2026 Coldest Night of the Year Walk, raising more than $3,500, according to organizers.
The candidates supported community events, including the Rotary Gala and Auction, the Kootenay Children’s Festival and a seniors’ tea.
The group also participated in Toastmasters training and delivered speeches at the annual Dessert Auction on May 26.
The 2026 candidates participated in the Spirit of the Rockies parade over the weekend.
They will be celebrated at an Ambassador Ball by family, friends, sponsors, dignitaries and out-of-town visitors.
