National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration in Invermere on June 21

To recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday, June 21, Invermere is hosting a community gathering to celebrate heritage and diverse cultures.

Revel in the celebration with traditional games/presentation that will be held at the Shuswap Band Health Centre.

There will also be an Indigenous merchant’s market, a medicinal plant/tea station and Shuswap department information tents.

A BBQ will be provided by donation, with door prizes to be won.

It starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.

Location:         Shuswap Band Health Centre at 9975 Kinbasket Trail, Invermere.

Time:                   11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
