The BC Wildfire Service is reporting three fires in the East Kootenay region, with one out-of-control fire southeast of Cranbrook.
On May 25, a fire was discovered in Bloom Creek covering an estimated 4.1 hectares.
It’s currently stated as out of control and was caused by lightning in the area.
A second fire was uncovered on May 25, at Peavine Creek, northeast of Moyie, covering 0.009 hectares.
It’s reported to be under control and human-caused.
On May 24, a under control fire was discovered North of Cranbrook in Lucier Creek covering 0.1 hectares.
BC Wildfire Services reports it was human-caused.
