The lakes and rivers around Cranbrook make it feel like water is endlessly available, but that is not the case – we are currently in Stage 1 of outdoor water restrictions.
You can water on your designated watering days either in the morning between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. or in the evening between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. (but not both).
Watering Days
Even-numbered addresses are on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Odd-number addresses are on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Outdoor watering is not permitted on Wednesdays.
Watering Rules
Vegetable gardens and edible plants
Allowed using a handheld shut-off nozzle.
Lawns, trees, shrubs and flower gardens
Allowed using a handheld shut-off nozzle or irrigation system.
Washing a personal vehicle
Permitted if using a handheld shut-off nozzle.
Outdoor surfaces – sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, building surfaces, windows
Permitted if using a handheld shut-off nozzle.
Filling of residential foundations, pools, hot tubs and garden pools is permitted during this stage.
A permit will be required if watering new sod, seed, and grass outside of permitted restrictions.
