Konstantin Hutzinger’s impressive play during the playoffs, particularly in the second round, certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.
In fact, the BCHL has awarded the 18-year-old Austrian-born rookie its 2nd Star of the Week following his five-goal performance in four games last week – three of his markers coming in one game when he earned a hat trick.
Hutzinger was also credited with scoring the overtime goal in Game 4 to knot the series at two.
According to the league, his eight post-season goals are tied for the most in the BCHL and his three power-play tallies are one off the league lead.
Jaiden Sharma from the Cowichan Valley Capitals took 1st Star honours while Sherwood Park’s Ryan White was named 3rd Star of the Week.
