Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for Crowsnest Pass and areas further east into Alberta.
Snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm are expected on Wednesday (Apr. 15) and Thursday (Apr. 16).
The agency says snow will begin Wednesday afternoon over the northern foothills and spread southward in the evening.
Precipitation may initially fall as rain before quickly changing to snow.
Snow is expected to taper off by Thursday evening.
Travel conditions may be difficult, with reduced visibility at times.
