Local public works crews will be springing into action to clear winter debris from the streets starting today.
Teams will be sweeping Zone 2A West from 11th Street South to 19th Street South, between 1st Ave South and 7th Ave, Larch Drive and 4th Ave South.
Work will be conducted over the next few weeks, usually Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., to remove gravel and other debris accumulated over the winter.
Drivers are asked to park off-street wherever possible as crews conduct their operations.
The current street-sweeping map is available on the City of Cranbrookâs website.
Crews will continue maintenance at regular intervals throughout the spring and summer, as well as before major community events, according to the amount of street debris.
