A rockslide has closed Highway 93 South and the Radium Hot Springs pools in Kootenay National Park.
Parks Canada says the slide occurred on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 18, in Sinclair Canyon, blocking the highway in both directions.
According to DriveBC, there is no local detour.
Drivers can use B.C. Highway 95 and the Trans-Canada Highway through Yoho National Park as an alternate route.
Parks Canada says the Radium Hot Springs pools will remain closed until the highway reopens.
Crews have begun slope stabilization and debris removal following an assessment.
Highway 93 South and the hot springs are expected to remain closed until Thursday afternoon, Feb. 19.
Drivers are advised to check DriveBC and 511 Alberta for updates.
