On Wednesday (Dec. 10) morning at approximately 6:22 a.m., Golden RCMP received a report of a multi-vehicle incident on Highway 1 east of Golden.
A semi-truck and trailer had spun out and crossed the barrier, blocking all four lanes of Highway 1.
The semi-truck was then struck by another semi-truck as well as a car.
Police concluded that snowy weather played a significant role in the incident.
“Fortunately, there were no injuries in this incident, but the highway was closed for some time,” says Cpl. Brett Urano, RCMP spokesperson.
The Golden-Field RCMP encourage people to be mindful of road conditions before hitting the road and to drive relative to those conditions.
RCMP also advise the public to check DriveBC for current road conditions and updates.
