As of this morning (Nov. 20), a boil water notice remains in effect for Cranbrook.
On Monday night (Nov. 17), low-chlorine water, followed by high-turbidity water, entered the system while crews were cleaning screens at the Phillips Reservoir.
Some flushing has been completed, but the city cannot confirm that all untreated water has been removed.
Until further notice, all water used for drinking, cooking, washing food, or brushing teeth must be brought to a full rolling boil for at least one minute.
The city and Interior Health say they will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
