Cranbrook city council has given three readings to its updated fees and charges bylaw — meaning some administrative fees are set to rise for residents.
City staff say the increases will help bring Cranbrook’s rates more in line with other communities.
On the city side, tax certificates will go from $25 to $35, and NSF service charges will rise from $25 to $30.
There will also be a new 20 per cent administrative fee on recoverable work.
On the policing side, disclosure fees will increase from $50 to $65, and fingerprinting services will go up to $55.
The city expects the changes to generate roughly $15,130 in additional revenue.
The bylaw will come back for adoption and discussion at a future council meeting.
