A fatal incident in Sparwood is now being investigated by the Southeast Major Crime Unit.
Elk Valley RCMP were called around 9:52 p.m. on Sunday night (Nov. 2) to the A&W on Aspen Drive, where a man had been struck by a grey 2017 Toyota Tundra.
Despite efforts from first responders, the man died of his injuries at the scene.
Police say they are still gathering information about what happened.
Investigators are asking anyone who saw a Toyota Tundra with B.C. licence plate LV4015 being driven that night to contact them.
“We are in the very early stages; we are still gathering details about what transpired,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart of the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.
Anyone with dashcam footage from the area between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday, or anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to police, is asked to call the Southeast District MCU information line at 1-877-987-8477.
