A motor vehicle incident late Sunday afternoon shut down a section of Highway 3 east of Cranbrook.
RCMP have yet to release any details, however, according to Drive BC, the incident was between Coopman Road and the Rampart Rest Area, about 10 kilometres east of the Key City.
Traffic was re-routed along Highway 93 and the Wardner-Fort Steele Road for a number of hours.
STARS air ambulance from Calgary also responded to the scene.
