Some good news if you’re flying in and out of the East Kootenay.
WestJet struck a tentative deal with its mechanics late Sunday night, averting a potential lockout.
On Saturday, the company said it would impose the lockout if an agreement wasn’t reached by Noon Tuesday.
The two sides have been negotiating since last September.
Exact details of the contract haven’t been made public.
WestJet has four daily flights leaving from and arriving to Cranbrook’s Canadian Rockies International daily.
