This Sunday is a day set aside to remember missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
Recognized each year on May 5th, it also known as Red Dress Day.
Autumn Patrick with the Ktunaxa Nation said a march is planned for Cranbrook this Saturday…
The event, though, is recognizing more than just Indigenous women and girls…
There will also be a chance Friday for anyone participating to make a poster or sign for the event.
It goes from 3:30 until 6:30 in the Ktunaxa Nation Council gym across from the Library.
Supplies will be provided free of charge by the event’s organizers.
The starting point of the march, Street Angels, is located at 46-17th Avenue South.
