If your travel plans include heading east into Alberta, you may want to hold off until, possibly, the weekend.
A Special Weather Statement has been replaced by a Snowfall Warning for the southwestern corner of the province.
It could be significant, depending on where you’re heading, with a forecast of snow, at times heavy, and limited visibility.
Environment Canada is calling for anywhere from 20 centimetres, or about eight inches, to as much as 50cm for the Foothills.
Some of the lower end snowfall amounts could accumulate in the Elk Valley and the Crowsnest Pass, and based on temperatures, will be of the heavy, wet variety.
Snow is expected to taper off by Thursday evening.
