The City of Kimberley is looking into the future, or at least what its buildings and recreation framework might look like in the next few years.
Late Friday, it unveiled, through its website, the Parks and Facilities Master Plan draft document.
Meant to be a road map, it’s an opportunity for residents and users to see what vision city council might have and whether it’s something the community can agree with.
“The development of this Master Plan underscores our commitment to providing high-quality parks and recreational opportunities for Kimberley residents,” said Nicole Halasz, Manager of Parks and Facilities. “We encourage all community members to review the draft plan and share their valuable feedback before we finalize it later this summer.”
The proposal can be viewed through a designated web page.
This coming Tuesday, March 16, user groups and the community-at-large will also have the opportunity also to see the draft document up close when the City hosts two engagements sessions at Centennial Hall.
A day session is set for 1 to 3pm with an evening session from 5 until 8.
Feedback on the draft will be accepted until May 3.
