Columbia Valley RCMP are reminding residents to lock their car doors after two vehicles were stolen in one night last week.
On Tuesday, August 8, police were called after a vehicle was stolen from an Invermere home around 10 p.m.
The residents of the house say they heard their vehicle back out of the driveway before realizing it was being stolen.
The vehicle was later found and returned to its owner Sunday when an Invermere resident reported a suspicious vehicle in their neighbourhood.
A second stolen vehicle was reported on Tuesday, August 8 after it was found crashed into a fence at an Invermere home.
The vehicle was determined to be stolen. Eye witnesses to the crash provided limited details on the driver, who did not stay at the scene of the incident.
No suspects were identified in this incident.
