A hiker was uninjured after being stranded in the Panorama area for six hours over the weekend.
Columbia Valley RCMP received a call from the hiker Saturday saying they were unsure of their location and had already been hiking for several hours.
Search and Rescue were dispatched and located the hiker, who was brought back to safety without incident.
RCMP and Search and Rescue are reminding residents to be prepared if heading into the backcountry.
They advise you to have a plan and notify people of where you are going in case something goes wrong.
You should also have extra food and water packed with additional clothing, in case you are forced to spend the night in the wilderness.
