
The PACWEST Championships continue at Cranbrook’s College of the Rockies Saturday, with the College of the Rockies Men’s Avalanche volleyball team claiming tournament bronze.
The championship bronze medal games and championship finals were held in the college gym at the Cranbrook campus.
The Men’s Avalanche volleyball team beat the Douglas College Royals in straight sets, claiming the championship bronze game, 25-18, 25-21, 29-27.
The Vancouver Island University Mariners and the Camosun College Chargers faced off Saturday night in the Men’s Final, with Camosun College winning in straight sets, 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Avalanche volleyball team lost to Douglas College in the Championship Bronze game, with COTR winning the first set before dropping the last three, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.
The Camosun Chargers women’s volleyball team claimed victory over the Vancouver Islander University Mariners in three straight sets, winning the PACWEST Championship for women’s volleyball, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.
