Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning for the Elk Valley beginning Tuesday morning into Wednesday.
The national weather forecaster says precipitation will change to snow overnight as cooler temperatures make its way to the area, this could cause between 10 and 20 centimeters to fall by Wednesday morning.
Local highways contractor Mainroad East Kootenay warns that heavy snow could impact visibility on local roads.
