
A driver in the Columbia Valley has lost their vehicle for seven days after being caught going over 150 kilometres an hour.
An officer was conducting patrols in an unmarked police car on Sunday when he was passed by a speeding vehicle.
The officer followed the car onto Highway 93/95 near Invermere where the driver accelerated to 151 kilometres an hour in a 90 kilometre an hour zone.
The officer stopped the vehicle and ticketed the driver for excessive speeding. They also impounded the vehicle for seven days.
