The Environmental Health Office has given the City of Cranbrook notice that its potable drinking water is safe for consumption.
This follows monitoring after last Monday’s power surge caused some untreated water to enter the system, the City’s water is confirmed to be safe as per Interior Health’s standards.
Public works crews were able to locate the small amount of untreated water and flushed the majority of it out.
No major health concerns were identified at the time.
