RCMP and Kimberley Fire were called to a fire at Kimberley’s ski hill Saturday.
Kimberley Alpine Resort reported a fire in the lift operator hut at the top station of the Northstar Quad chair.
RCMP and Kimberley Fire were on scene and investigating the incident.
As a result of the fire, the lift for the Northstar Quad chair is currently inoperable.
The ski resort was not in operation Saturday and everyone was asked to stay off the mountain.
The resort reopened Sunday, with other chair lifts and the T-Bar open for use.
