Water jugs focus of failed theft in Invermere

A man in the Columbia Valley was arrested for possession of stolen property after taking two water jugs from an Invermere grocery store.

The incident happened last Friday around 9:30 am.

Officers were told a man had taken two jugs from the store, prompting police to patrol the area and locate the man near a bus stop.

The man was arrested following the incident and the two water jugs were returned to the grocery store.
