A pilot and co-founder for Angel Flight East Kootenay is raising funds by giving us a bird’s eye view of the Rockies.
Todd Weselake has created a photography book showcasing photos taken while in the air.
Proceeds from book sales will be used to support Angel Flight.
Weselake and co-founder Brent Bidston created Angel Flight to transport medical patients to and from the hospital for appointments.
“We both saw the need for it in the area and we both have the time and the ability to help people out, so we took advantage of it.” Weselake says. “The more I can help it out, the better. Price of fuel has recently gone up astronomically, so our expenses have gone up. Just the more funding we can put towards it will help sustain it.”
He says the book allows readers to view the mountains in a way they might never have before.
“These mountains are really deep in the ranges of this part of British Columbia, most of them are unseen, some of their very seldom are even accessible,” he says. “Just to be able to share that view with people through my photography skills is something that I felt the need to do.”
The book, ‘Wings Above the Rocks’, is available for pre-order.
