The recycle-friendly version of the ‘take-a-penny, leave-a-penny’ system is back at local transfer stations.
The Regional District of East Kootenay has reopened the Reuse Centres at the Cranbrook, Kimberley, Sparwood, Elkford and Fernie Transfer Stations, as well as the facility at the Columbia Valley Landfill.
The RDEK closed the Reuse Centres six weeks ago as a measure to limit the spread of COVID-19.
