Today, we look at FR Rentals in Cranbrook and Sparwood

FR Rentals is the East Kootenay’s largest locally owned equipment rental company.
Owner Cody Kozinuk says they have a variety of construction equipment available for sale and rent, including mini-excavators and generators.
He says customer service is key and they make sure to have quality construction equipment available for contractors and homeowners.
“We invest a lot in having the newest equipment fleet and the best trained mechanics we can.” Kozinuk says. “We cater to a lot of customers in the construction industry and we understand the negative impact of downtime for these guys. So by having quality equipment and a well-trained staff, we really set ourselves up for the greatest chance at success.”
Kozinuk says they’ve been in the Kootenays for seven years and have given their support to several community groups, including regional trail societies.
“We live in a really unique part of Canada where we have access to some world class mountain biking trails and this is thanks to organizations like the Kimberley Trails Society,” Kozinuk says. “We try to help them out as much as we can with their equipment needs, but those guys are the ones who are out there putting in like serious time and work to fix the trails, maintain the trails, things like this.”
Other events FR Rentals supports throughout the region include Griz Days in Fernie, Coal Miner Days in Sparwood, Project Heavy Duty and the Mine Rescue competition.
