A popular program in Cranbrook which helps residents dispatch their Christmas trees has been cancelled for the year.
The Cranbrook Scouts and Girl Guides had to cancel their annual Christmas tree pickup, which had been scheduled for Saturday, January 8.
This decision comes due to directives from Scouts Canada in response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Christmas trees can be discarded at the Cranbrook Transfer Station.
