
Three people were arrested in Cranbrook Tuesday after an incident involving a firearm at the Lazy Bear Lodge.
Cranbrook RCMP were called after a staff member at the Lazy Bear Lodge had a firearm pointed at them by a man occupying one of their rooms.
Police set up a containment team and safely arrested three people in the room without incident.
A search warrant was then executed, with multiple items related to the investigation seized from the room.
RCMP say the investigation is in its initial stages, but its believed to be an isolated incident with no risk to the public.

On December 28, 2021 the Cranbrook RCMP received a report that a staff member at the Lazy Bear Lodge had a firearm pointed at them from a male occupant in a room. The Cranbrook RCMP were able to set up containment and safely arrested three occupants in the room without incident. A search warrant was executed at the room where multiple items related to the investigation were seized. The investigation is in its initial stages but is ongoing and it is believed to be an isolated incident with no further risk to the general public.
