A 64-year-old man from the Crowsnest Pass has died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3, just west of Cowley.
RCMP confirm the driver of a pick-up truck, a resident of Coleman, died on scene Friday morning during a collision with an SUV on the highway at Township Road 74, near Lundbreck.
The driver of the SUV was transported to hospital in Calgary, although the extent of their injuries aren’t yet known at this time.
The highway had been shut down in both directions for several hours, with officers from both the Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass detachments attending the scene.
Mounties say the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
