A Trail man is facing mischief charges stemming from a series of incidents involving damage to several businesses and vehicles in downtown Trail.
On September 29, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Trail RCMP responded to reports of an individual damaging windows of businesses and vehicles in the downtown area.
Officers attended the scene and identified a suspect through information provided by witnesses and members of the public.
The 30-year-old Trail man has been charged with six counts of Mischief. He was remanded into custody, where he remains awaiting a bail hearing.
“The quick identification and arrest of the suspect was made possible through the timely reporting by citizens and the assistance of witnesses who provided information to investigators,” said Staff Sergeant Dave Johnson, Detachment Commander of the Trail RCMP.
“Addressing these types of disturbances and damage to property with consequences and accountability is a key component of keeping our community safe. Trail RCMP would like to thank the citizens who assisted in identifying and locating the suspect.”
