The Fernie Ghostriders opened their homestand Friday night (Sept. 25) with a commanding 4-0 victory over the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
Fernie outshot Revelstoke 50-25. Ghostriders defenseman Domenic Rattai opened the scoring at 16:29 of the first period, assisted by Carter Singleton and Liam Breakenridge.
Just over two minutes later, Fernie forward Jaden Piper scored to give the Ghostriders a 2-0 lead entering the second period.
After a scoreless second period, Ghostriders forward Jackson Roberts beat the netminder eight minutes into the third, assisted by Garrett Buchanan.
Nearly three minutes later, forward Boston Logan extended Fernie’s lead with a goal off a pass from Breakenridge.
Fernie goalie Kael Svenson stopped all 25 shots he faced, while Revelstoke’s netminder made 46 saves on 50 shots.
Fernie continues its homestand tonight (Sept. 26) against the Columbia Valley Rockies at Fernie Memorial Arena.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
