College of the Rockies Volleyball is back.
The Avalanche are kicking off their season with back to back to back away games against the Douglas College Royals.
Women’s coach Bryan Fraser says it will be interesting to see how the young team will perform.
“I think we’re gonna have a lot of close games,” Fraser says. “We’ve got some really great athletes and there’s so much to learn, it’s exciting to see their progress so far and now that we’re in to season I think we’re gonna see some big growth from them.”
He says this will be their first game against Douglas this season and he is unsure what to expect.
“We’re gonna go in and we’re gonna just try to play fairly aggressive and make sure that we force Douglas to score good points against us,” he says. “We’re looking to up our level of play and especially for this first game it’s a little bit irrelevant how Douglas is going to be playing.”
The women are up first tonight at 6:00 PM with the men’s team starting at 8:00 PM.
