Environment & Climate Change Canada has issued a Yellow Alert for Rainfall for Greater Lethbridge and a large section of southern Alberta.
“Heavy rainfall will continue, with total amounts of 40 to 70 mm expected,” said an updated weather statement late Monday morning. Rainfall will end on Tuesday.”
The weather agency warned that water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas and the potential for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
The alert also covers the communities of Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, Brocket, Cardston, Taber, Vauxhall, and Milk River.
The Waterton Lakes National Park is also expecting heavy rain by end of day Tuesday.
