RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating two missing children, Lanakai and Karl Morrison, who are possibly travelling east towards the Kootenays.
According to the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, on July 7, six-year-old Lanakai was allegedly taken by his mom, 35-year-old Krista Morrison, from Valhalla Centre near Beaverlodge, Alberta.
Both boys are believed to be with Lanakai’s mother, Krista Morrison and Karl’s father, Daniel Ludwig.
There was indication they were in B.C. in the Okanagan Valley near Vernon, possibly traveling east towards the Kootenays.
They are highly mobile and could be in Northern BC, Yukon or Alberta.
It is believed they are driving in a 2006 red Ford F350 that has a lift and larger tires or may be driving a motor home.
Krista Morrison and Daniel Ludwig are both wanted by police for abduction in contravention of a custody/parenting order.
Lanakai Morrison is described as:
- 6-years-old
- Slight build
- Long light brown hair
- Brown eyes

- Slight build
- Long dirty blonde hair
- Brown eyes

- 35-years-old
- 5’8” tall
- Medium build
- Long dark brown hair
- Brown eyes

- 5’11” tall
- Large build
- Brown hair (may be bald or have a shaved head)
- Brown Eyes
