A rebuild of the internal component of Cranbrook’s pressure reduction station (PRV) begins on June 8.
The City of Cranbrook says this may slightly reduce the water pressure in the neighbourhood for a few days.
Temporary overland water service hookups will be in place to provide potable water for two properties that will be directly impacted by the shutdown.
As with any work on a water system, when the PRV is brought back online and water pressure is restored, some residents may notice dirty water for a short period.
The City says it’s not considered a health risk, but if you notice dirty water, simply run your water tap until the water runs clear.
