Mounties are now investigating an assault that took place outside a Castlegar home Monday afternoon (June 1).
At around 4:07 p.m., RCMP say a young woman on 6th Avenue was loading items into a car when a group of youths started yelling at her, escalating to two allegedly attacking her while the others watched.
A witness later came in and separated the group, who then fled the area.
Police have found and arrested one suspect for assault.
The investigation remains ongoing, and any witnesses are urged to come forward or contact Castlegar RCMP at 250-365-7721.
