The Environment and Climate Change Canada have announced a yellow watch for severe thunderstorms for the Interior and Northern BC, including Cranbrook.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and persist into the evening hours.
Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.
