External investigators have now wrapped up their review of a Kimberley city councillor’s complaints against a member of City staff, as well as a fellow councillor, more than five months ago.
In December 2025, the City of Kimberley issued a statement regarding two formal written complaints submitted by Councillor Diana Fox.
The complaints concerned what seemed to be “targeted” bullying and intimidation before a Council meeting earlier that year, urging her to recuse herself from voting on a proposed drive-thru development in Marysville.
Investigators have since cleared the staff of wrongdoing.
The City also announced today (May 13) that findings showed that the member of Council did not act unethically, nor did they violate any Codes of Conduct, procedure bylaws, or bullying and harassment guidelines.
“The City will not comment further on this matter due to the confidential nature of the investigation,” said the City.
“With the response to the complaint against the member of Council now concluded, the City’s focus will turn to implementing steps to restore the workplace and build respectful and effective governance.”
