A Sparwood man has been seriously injured after being attacked with a weapon over a week ago.
On April 25, at around 8:22 a.m., BC Ambulance and frontline officers with the Elk Valley RCMP responded to a report of an unconscious man who “appeared to have been violently attacked” on Matevic Road.
Paramedics took the man to Cranbrook Hospital for treatment, and he is now receiving further care at a regional hospital.
Mounties say they’ve since seized three vehicles that were identified in relation to the incident.
Police believe this was an isolated incident with no further risk to the public.
Investigation is ongoing.
