Riders looking to take advantage of the long weekend can now do so with the return of the e-scooters on Cranbrook roads.
Bird Canada began its third annual rollout on Wednesday, April 1, and is set to remain through the fall of this year.
The City of Cranbrook participated in the four-year provincial electric kick-scooter pilot project to determine whether and how the scooters should be used permanently across B.C.
Riders must be at least 16 years old and wear a helmet.
You can find and rent e-scooters throughout the City and in parking areas, or download the Bird Canada app to reserve the closest e-scooter up to 30 minutes in advance.
The pilot program enjoyed relative success during the 2025 season, with nearly 23,000 total rides between April 1 and November 1 – up three per cent from the previous year.
