A new endorsement for a B.C. Tory candidate has arrived a little closer to home.
Sparwood Mayor David Wilks, who has also served as a former Conservative Member of Parliament, has now shared his support for Kerry-Lynne Findlay in the upcoming British Columbia Conservative leadership race.
“I worked with Kerry-Lynne from 2011-2015 when we both served under Stephen Harper,” said Wilks. “She served in Prime Minister Harper’s cabinet. She is a down-to-earth person who I have great respect for. […] Kerry-Lynne is exactly what BC needs to get us back on track.”
Findlay’s platform outlines a focus on “freedom”, economy and getting “woke” ideology out of schools.
She joins several other candidates, including MLAs Peter Milobar and Sheldon Care, entrepreneur Yuri Fulmer, former grocery executive Darrell Jones and contractor Warren Hamm, in the run.
